Bread Recipes You Have to Try

Bread has been around since ancient times. Archaeologists found breadcrumbs made with wheat, barley, and plant roots in the Black Desert in Jordan, dating back 14,600 years. Also, grinding stones about 30,000 years old have been found in Europe and Australia.

Another exciting find is a slab of artwork from the 4th dynasty showing Egyptians seated at a table with slices of bread. Conical loaves of a bread-like substance were commonly found buried with the dead in the 5th dynasty as grave goods. Also, paintings found in pyramids show that the dead were buried with loaves of bread for nourishment in the afterlife.

What Is So Special About Bread?

The cultural significance of bread is well-known as we have all seen baskets of rolls at dinner tables and biscuits for breakfast all over the world dating back to ancient times. Bread has also been part of religious ceremonies like Holy Communion and Passover. Today, we still use it in almost every meal, and it comes in many types, flavors, and sizes. Read more…

Favorite Casserole Recipes

A casserole is a food that is cooked and served in the same dish that includes three or four main ingredients. Today, we call those “One Dish Recipes”, but they are still casseroles. The casseroles that we remember from the old days were comfort foods that usually included some kind of meat, vegetables, a starch like potatoes or pasta, and a sauce like milk, soup, or juice.

What is great about casseroles is how easy they are to make. All you have to do is gather the ingredients together, put it in a pan, cook it, and serve it in the same pan. No dishes or mixing bowls to wash and you can store it in the same pan if it has an airtight lid too.

Besides being easy to make, serve, and store, they are also very versatile. It does not always have to be a dinner meal, you can make a breakfast casserole with eggs, bacon, sausage, and cheese or a dessert casserole with pudding, graham crackers, and whipped cream…

Air Fryer Recipes with Pork

Pork is a tasty meat that is healthy as well as delicious. It comes in so many forms from bacon to ham and sausages, chops, and roasts. You can have pork steaks, pulled pork sandwiches, or a pork stir fry. But some of the best recipes to use for pork are done in the air fryer.

Why use an air fryer to cook pork?

Being health-conscious, we often try to choose the leaner cuts of meat and that leaves out the fat that meat needs to hold in those juices. Cooking pork can be tricky sometimes because it has a tendency to become dry if you do not cook it right.

Because the AF cooks with hot air instead of hot oil, the meat is able to get that same fast searing and crunchiness without drying out the meat. However, the trick is to make sure you do not cook it too long. The temperature should read 145 degrees F when you remove it from the cooker…

Healthy Air Fryer Recipes

If you or one of your loved ones is on a diet of any kind, you are probably always looking for good recipes you can use. For example, you may be looking for low sugar and carb recipes. But the recipes are really only one part of what makes a dish healthy or not. The way you cook the meal makes a difference.

Why is an air fryer good for your diet?

Are you and your family fried food fanatics? Then you probably already know that all that oil and crust are not good for you. But with an air fryer, you can enjoy fried foods without all that grease and breading. Just getting rid of the oil can cut up to 80% of the calorie count and has a lot less fat.

Another benefit of the air fryer is that it cuts down on the chemical acrylamide, which is made when you fry starchy foods like potatoes. Acrylamide studies have linked this chemical to your chances of getting cancer. Air frying the same starches lowers the acrylamide by up to 90%. Read more…

Delicious Sauces That Are Incredibly Easy To Make

No matter whether you are looking for a sweet creamy peanut sauce for your rice, noodles, or meat or a tangy Italian dressing for your salad, you do not have to settle for store-bought sauces that are full of preservatives.

Why not make your own?

It is so easy to do and typically only uses a handful of ingredients.

In fact, some of my favorite sauce recipes only use two or three ingredients so they are extremely fast and easy to prepare.

When it is that easy to do, it makes you wonder why you have been spending all that money to buy the prepared sauces from the grocery store.

Making it yourself is so much more satisfying…
